The core infrastructure of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is its collection (see Collection). As an integrated research museum, the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin also has a large number of state-of-the-art laboratories, an IT research infrastructure and a research data management infrastructure. Here, standards, methods and processes are developed that are necessary for the development and usability of the collection. This includes, for example, the cataloguing and digitisation of the collection. The exhibitions, classrooms and experimental field are available to us for research with and on visitors, for citizen science, for educational and public engagement work.
