Task

Manage Genomic Tissue and DNA Collections.

Research

My interests are in biodiversity discovery, preservation, and conservation of all living organisms. My current research is focused on natural history, biogeography, speciation, molecular evolution, biodiversity, and conservation. I primarily work on amphibians and reptiles and I apply morphological, molecular, ecological, and life-history data to study organisms and their evolutionary responses to the environment. I am involved in public engagement, and educating the public and young scientists in evolution, conservation, and biodiversity discovery of life on Earth. My work supports museum sciences, particularly natural history museums, research collections, and biobanking genomic resources for future research.
