Working at the museum

Shaping the future together – for science, the collection and society

The Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is continuing to develop as part of the wider evolution of museums. We are renovating and expanding our listed building, making our research collection accessible and creating new forms of engagement with society.

Around 424 people work at the museum in research, collections, education and administration (as of 2024). Together, we are shaping this transformation – in an interdisciplinary manner, whether in the laboratory, in the exhibition, in the digital infrastructure or in visitor management.
