Visions of the Fabulocene – a Lecture-Performance by Tiresias
Speculative Ecologies, (Post-)Natural Histories, and New Weird Futures: Visions of the Fabulocene is a playful and poetic lecture-performance about time, evolution, and queer multispecies world-building for more fabulous futures.
Written and performed by shapeshifter, drag-thing, and performance creature Tiresias as the culmination of their artist residency at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, this presentation also features a special biomimicry-inspired performance by world-class drag phenomenon Hungry.

About Tiresias
They are a hybrid writer, director, composer, performer, puppeteer, mythmaker, shapeshifter, drag-thing, songbird, and ritualist. Called “a rara avis of experimental theatre” by The New Yorker and “one of the most enchanting performers in New York City” by The Brooklyn Rail, their work explores queer ecologies, weird mythologies, and speculative futures.
They have received fellowships and residencies from Ucross, MacDowell, Millay Arts, Bogliasco, Sitka Center for Art & Ecology, The Princess Grace Foundation, The Jim Henson Foundation, and elsewhere. They are a Luce, Marshall, and Fulbright Scholar.
