Symposium: Creating Knowledge Together – Citizen Science, Communication and Trust
Symposium on Science Communication at the Natural History Museum

Participation is a key objective of science communication. This symposium invites original research and practical contributions that offer insights into the role of trust in science as an enabling condition, a side effect, or a (threatened) outcome of public participation in scientific projects. Contributions from various perspectives are welcome: from citizens, scientists, funders and the wider public.
Abstracts of up to 5,000 characters (including spaces and footnotes, excluding references, tables and figures) in German or English may be submitted.
Presentation formats include keynotes, paper sessions, roundtables and discussions on practices and experiences from research and practical perspectives. The symposium is organised by the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin and forms part of the BMFTR-funded project “Trust in Citizen Science (TiCS)” in cooperation with the PCST Network and mit:forschen!
The symposium will take place on 5 and 6 October. Further details will follow at a later date on this page.
