Water Forum at the Museum of Natural History in Berlin
Your contribution matters: We are gathering a range of views on water-related change in Berlin and Brandenburg and engaging in dialogue with decision-makers from politics and the civil service.
What do the climate crisis and the phase-out of coal mean for Berlin’s water supply? How is the changing water situation affecting the everyday lives of Berliners? And what political measures are in place, and which ones are still needed? We invite you to explore these questions with us.
The Water Forum provides a space for direct dialogue as part of a multi-stage participatory process. At themed discussion tables, people from politics, public administration, the professional sector and academia will discuss these issues with members of the public, drawing on contributions from a participatory collection on the future of water in Berlin and Brandenburg. The contributions to the collection reflect what concerns us in our daily lives: How should gardens be designed in times of water scarcity? How can cities become more climate-resilient? And what contribution do kerbside rain barrels and the removal of rubbish from our waterways make? Together, we will identify which concerns should be incorporated into policy measures such as the Water Master Plan (MPW).
