I am a member of the Herpetology Lab led by PD Dr. Mark-Oliver Rödel, where my research focuses on the taxonomy and molecular systematics of amphibians and reptiles. In particular, I focus on the recovery and analysis of so-called “archival DNA” from wet-preserved collection specimens to link historical species names with modern genetic lineages, uncover cryptic diversity, clarify species boundaries, and resolve taxonomic uncertainties.
