Postdoctoral Researcher
As a Humboldt postdoctoral fellow, I am part of the “Amniota Lab.” My main project at the MfN focuses on researching Quaternary freshwater ecosystems through faunal studies. I am involved in various projects dealing with the Quaternary, mammals, human-fauna interactions, paleoecological reconstructions, and much more.

Vita
Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the Museum für Naturkunde – Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Research (Berlin, Germany). Specializes in paleobiology with a particular focus on anthropogenic contexts of the Quaternary.
Ph.D. in Biology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid; currently working at the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales (CSIC, Spain) and the Department of Physical Anthropology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Honorary researcher at the University of León (Spain), where I am a principal investigator on the “Cantabrian Frontier” project.
My scientific work in the above-mentioned research areas can be summarized as follows:
- 33 articles in indexed scientific journals such as *Scientific Reports*, *Journal of Human Evolution*, or *Quaternary Science Reviews*, of which I am the first author on 13, the last author on one, and the second or other author on 19; six of these are currently under review; along with the publication of eight articles in non-indexed journals, of which I am the first author on two and the last author on one.
- The publication of three books as one of the authors and five book chapters, of which I am the first author on two, the last author on one, and the second author or another author on the remaining two.
- 257 days of funded international scientific internships in Equatorial Guinea, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Italy.
- Active participation with 38 presentations at national and international scientific conferences, 16 of which as first author.
- Participation in 14 funded research projects—five international and nine national—in which I served as principal investigator for one, as a member of the research team for three, and as a member of the working group for ten.
