I am a member of Mark-Oliver Rödel’s research group, and my doctoral thesis focuses on sand lizards in the context of current conservation practices. My research interest lies in the spatial use of sand lizards, particularly near railway facilities, which represent one of the species’ most important secondary habitats. I am also interested in changes in habitat use caused by habitat alterations, such as animal relocations or structural deterrents. Both are measures frequently employed in conservation practice but rarely evaluated. Through my research, I aim to contribute to further improving the implementation of these measures.
