As press spokesperson, I ensure that museum topics are communicated understandably, continuously and in a way that is appropriate to the target group. I prepare topics for the media, answer press inquiries, coordinate film teams and photo requests and am also responsible for my own publications such as the annual report, science report, Für Natur Journal and website.

Vita

My academic career began with studying mineralogy/geochemistry at the Bergakademie Freiberg from 1984 - 1989. After a short period of work at the Society for Economic and Environmental Geology mbH, I began my doctorate in 1991 in the SFB 69 "Geoscientific Problems of Arid Areas" at the TU Berlin, Department of Petrology, Working Area Africa/Sudan, which I was able to complete in 1994. This was followed by scientific work in this area until 1995 and further training as a specialist magazine editor in 1996/97. I have been press spokesperson for the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin since 1998.
