As the Collection Manager for the Coleoptera and Strepsiptera collections, I am responsible for cataloging, maintaining, and expanding them. In addition, I coordinate and process inquiries. This includes requests for photographs, sharing information, assisting visitors to the collection, handling loans, processing donations and collection acquisitions in collaboration with the service units, and integrating objects that have been acquired or returned by borrowers.
 

Vita

I studied biosciences and diversity & evolution in Rostock and graduated in 2016. I wrote my master’s thesis at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin while I was still a student there. While continuing my research, I worked as a student assistant in the beetle collection. I was so impressed by the collection work that I applied for the position of Collection Manager of the beetle collection in 2025. I have now been employed at the museum as Collection Manager of the Coleoptera and Strepsiptera since 2026.
