Vita
I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Geology (focused on the analysis of suid cranial material from the Italian Peninsula) and a Master’s degree in Geology at the University of Perugia, Italy, with a thesis dealing on Pleistocene bovids from Spain and Italy. Subsequently, I obtained a predoctoral (FI) grant to carry out my PhD at the Institut Català de Paleontologia Miquel Crusafont (ICP), in the Geology PhD Program of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). I completed my PhD in 2023 with a dissertation focused on the taxonomy, paleobiology, and distribution of the genera Sus and Bison from the Early–Middle Pleistocene of the Western Palaearctic. In 2024, I was awarded postdoctoral fellowships from both the Benjamin Walter program of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. I am currently an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation visiting researcher at the Museum für Naturkunde in Berlin.
