Prof. Dr.Lutz Hecht
Scientist / (Senior) Scientist
I am a geochemist and petrologist and my main research is on the interactions between cosmic and terrestrial material that occur when asteroids impact. My investigations include field work, laboratory studies and experiments. For several years I have also been concerned with the formation and origin of micrometeorites and their application in citizen science projects. As laboratory manager, I am responsible for the operation of various microanalytical techniques. I teach my subject at the Free University of Berlin.
