Database and Specify platform manager: MfN expert for the database and Specify 7 (Content Management System = CMS), responsible for managing database configurations, SQL queries, large-scale integrations of legacy databases, and permissions management for all MfN collections and over 100 users.

 

Cross-functional coordination: Liaising between scientific teams and the IT infrastructure to streamline data flows and resolve technical bottlenecks.

 

Data management for the Tendaguru project: Responsible for cleaning, standardising and integrating paleobiodiversity records, ensuring compliance with international standards. Exploring ways to fill historical gaps by linking colonial archives to specimens.

    Future Plan - Specify 7

    The introduction of Specify will establish a central digital infrastructure that standardises the recording of the museum’s collection data, preserves it for the long term and makes it accessible to researchers.
