Technical Staff

As registrar, I am responsible for exhibition-related loans, making objects from the MfN collection available for exhibitions and presentations outside our museum. This involves overseeing the entire loan process, from the official loan request, to coordinating the special conservation conditions for transport and presentation, to drawing up the loan agreement, to returning the loaned objects at the end of the exhibition. Further information on this can be found at: https://www.museumfuernaturkunde.berlin/de/forschung/ausstellungsbezogener-leihverkehr As coordinator and user representative for collection logistics, I am significantly involved in the logistics planning and implementation for the collection during the extensive construction work at the museum. In my interface position, I am involved in complex coordination processes both within and outside our institution. I ensure that the collection moves are carried out professionally and in accordance with conservation requirements, from the current location to the final destination. In order to clear the construction site, the highly heterogeneous collection holdings, which are of great scientific and cultural-historical significance, must be made as transportable as possible – see https://www.museumfuernaturkunde.berlin/de/forschung/infrastruktur/sammlung and https://www.museumfuernaturkunde.berlin/de/meta-friese-die-anwaeltin-der-objekte
