I am a student assistant to Dr. Thomas von Rintelen. I extract tissue from freshwater invertebrates (crabs and shrimps), extract DNA, conduct PCR amplification, and analyse Oxford Nanopore MinION sequencing data to investigate the phylogeography and species diversity of these animals.
