Ich bin Co-Leiter des Amniota Lab. Meine Forschung konzentriert sich auf die Evolution großer Säugetiere, insbesondere von Pflanzenfressern, sowie auf die Entwicklung moderner Lebensgemeinschaften. Meine Arbeit basiert hauptsächlich auf der Erkundung und Untersuchung von Fundstätten in Afrika, im Mittelmeerraum und im Nahen Osten. Derzeit leite ich das vom ERC finanzierte PALEONILE-Projekt, das sich mit der antiken Fauna, den Lebensräumen, der Archäologie und der menschlichen Evolution im Nilbecken des Sudan befasst.
