The need for a strong and ambitious law on nature restoration

In the framework of the Green Deal and the Biodiversity Strategy 2030 for Europe, the Nature Restoration Law stands as instrumental for conserving and restoring natural habitats that will ensure the preservation and sustainability of our natural resources for the future. The CETAF Executive Committee has agreed and now shares with you all the petition to adhere this initiative, to make our joint community voice been heard loudly and massively. In this context, as been recognised by the European Commission, CETAF is a highly relevant and excellent organization to demonstrate that our scientific community cares for this legislation and plays a key role in the science-policy dialogue!  To that end, we would strongly encourage you to sign this petition. The European Parliament ENV Committee will meet next 15th of June.

"The EU law is turning the corner: it strengthens biodiversity in Europe, reduces the risks of natural disasters, protects the climate worldwide and boosts the economy. It is scheduled to be voted on in the EU Parliament on July 10. Please take action!" (Director General of the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, Prof. Johannes Vogel, PhD)
