Alongside guided tours and a range of events, the Museum has a variety of further programmes for adults. Please note the current dates in our event calendar. Unless otherwise stated, prices do not include admission.

Evenings at the museum

Several times a year, the museum opens its doors exclusively for late-night visitors. During a guided tour on changing current and scientific-historical topics, they experience the evening museum from a completely different perspective in a small circle. Afterwards, visitors can enjoy a drink (water, juice, wine) in the exhibition to end the evening. Groups can also take part in the guided tours. Current dates are announced in the event calendar on the Museum's website.

Groups can also book an exclusive after-work tour.

Celebrities from Berlin Zoo

Guides tours for people with dementia.
The museum invites people with dementia and their families and carers to a special kind of guided tours, introducing Museum celebrities such as Knut the Polar Bear, Bobby the Gorilla and panda Bao Bao. Stories and anecdotes associated with these well-known favourites help participants to make an emotional connection, perhaps even inspire them to tell their own stories. The tour ends with a get-together over a cup of coffee, where sensory experiences take centre-stage. Hides of animals such as a lion can be explored by touch and various animal sounds guessed. The programme was developed in close collaboration with the Malteser Hilfsdienst e.V. and continually supported by members of staff of the Museum. Seats are available for the guided tour. All rooms and facilities are accessible for wheelchair users. Group bookings only.

  • Participants:  max. 10 people
  • Cost:  €9.00 (including admission, coffee and cake) for 120min, accompanying persons free (only in German)

Drawing skills – The animal´s form
