Youth Culture Card: We are part of it

Jugendkulturkarte

Since 1 February 2023, all 18- to 23-year-olds in Berlin have had access to a cultural credit worth 50 euros. This credit can be redeemed for tickets at around 200 Berlin cultural venues. From visits to museums, theaters and operas to readings, relaxed movie nights or exciting club nights: The Youth Culture Card invites you to discover Berlin's diverse cultural scene and experience it live on site. The Museum für Naturkunde, as one of the most visited museums in Berlin and Germany, is pleased to be a part of this and to provide access to nature and culture regardless of budget.

"The interest of young people in the topic of nature is immense," Johannes Vogel, general director of the museum, is pleased to say. "Putting a stop to climate change and man-made species extinction is what the museum has stood for for more than ten years. With our current special exhibition 'DINOSAURIANS! - Age of the Giant Lizards,' we want to intentionally provoke thought about the dangers posed by the climate and biodiversity crisis."

Here's how it works: young adults who are between 18 and 23 years old and registered in Berlin during the campaign period from February 1 to April 30, 2023, have been able to register online via a website since February 1 and pick up the card at one of more than 40 public libraries in Berlin by February 28. The credit can be redeemed flexibly for three months until April 30, 2023, at the cultural venues' evening and advance ticket offices.
