Kunst/Natur Intervention Round II

Bildlicher Hinweis auf Kunst/Natur Interventionen im Museum

19 July - 16 October 2016

What happens when contemporary artists explore a natural history museum? The second round of the pilot project “Art/Nature. Artistic Interventions at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin” features acoustic dioramas created by the artist duo Serotonin and curated by Gaby Hartel, and drawings and silkscreen prints by Fernando Bryce. Both works focus on the history and the collections of the museum around 1900.

Launched together with the General Federal Cultural Foundation, the project aims to investigate the interactions between contemporary art, science and the public. Artists are invited to create new works that open new perspectives on the museum of natural history.
