From April 28 to May 1, the so-called City Nature Challenge (CNC) will take place. In this friendly competition, cities around the world compete to find out: In which city are the most animal and plant species recorded?

The Pankow City Nature Ranger Frederik Rothe and the ArtenFinder team offer a guided tour around the Moorlinse in northwest Berlin. There we want to find as many species as possible together with all nature enthusiasts and record them with the app iNaturalist (video instruction). The Moorlinse is a hotspot of biodiversity in Berlin. Sixty breeding bird species have been recorded here, including spoonbill, whinchat and wryneck. Perhaps we will hear the tapping of the spadefoot toad or observe the lesser fox fluttering by.

Please note: This event is NOT a classic nature tour. It is about observing and reporting various animals, plants and fungi. The organizers will not primarily lecture on nature, but will of course explain and assist in identifying and uploading sightings.
