The International Museum Day will take place for the 44th time in 2021. The aim of the day of action is to draw attention to the thematic diversity of the more than 6,500 museums in Germany and museums worldwide.

With free admission, we invite you to explore our museum. The theme of this day of action is "Species Conservation and Biodiversity". Take part in one of our digital guided tours or learn more about the urban ecology of Berlin.

Information about the event

  • The museum opens with free admission. Registration is required free of charge. The registration will be released in time at this place.

Our program

  • 9:00 - 10:00: Conservation of species and biodiversity - live digital tour
  • 11:00 - 13:00: Urban ecology and climate change - guided tour around the Museum
  • 11:00 - 12:00: The Research Collections of the Museum für Naturkunde - live digital tour of the scientific bird and mammal collections.

There is a limited number of participants for the tours. Registration is required at besucherservice@mfn.berlin. Guides tours in German.

The digital tours take place via Zoom, a link will be sent to you after confirmed registration.
