Bürger schaffen Wissen is the central citizen science platform in Germany. The platform provides an overview of current projects, thus illustrating the concept as well as raising the profile of citizen science in the public domain. In addition, we want to pass on information, connect participants and follow current debates on citizen science.
Anybody who wants to take part in a citizen science project can take their pick here. Schools can access research here for classes and extra-curricular activities. Looking for hedgehogs or wild boar in the city or following garden snail trails, describing artwork or supporting digital genealogy; the choice of projects is impressive.
The online platform Bürger schaffen Wissen is a joint project by Wissenschaft im Dialog and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. It is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
