Bats of Berlin

Simon Ripperger and Linus Günther are on the lookout for bats in city parks in Berlin. The two scientists are checking bat boxes for groups of the common noctule (Nyctalus noctula). A work that sometimes demands patience, as they first need to find out whether the bat boxes are also inhabited by bats and not birds. In the weeks to come they will use miniaturized sensor nodes to study group dynamics and social behavior in gregarious bats.
