Explore Natural History in VR with Google Arts & Culture

Zwei Kinder mit Google Cardboard Brillen unter dem Giraffatitan brancai

From now on the Museum für Naturkunde is a partner of Google Arts & Culture. Together with 60 renowned museums and organisations from 16 countries the online portal incorporates the topic Natural History. So users from all over the world can explore the diversity and fragile beauty of nature.

Using Google's modern technologies at the Museum für Naturkunde our famous Brachiosaurus - better known by his scientific name Giraffatitan brancai - and several animals of our biodiversity wall come to life with the "Cardboard" or in a 360-Degree-YouTube video.

Besides that, exciting online exhibitions provide an insight into scientific and curational activities at the Museum für Naturkunde and with Google Street-View virtual visitors can stroll around through the museum's premises.

The free Naturkunde collection opens today at g.co/naturalhistory and through the Google Arts & Culture mobile app on iOS and Android
