City Nature Challenge 2025: Spandauer Forst

The City Nature Challenge (CNC) has been taking place worldwide since 2016. In this friendly competition, cities compete against each other to record as many plant and animal species as possible in urban areas in the spirit of Citizen Science.

Our Citizen Science team at the Museum für Naturkunde will be organizing a guided tour through the Spandauer Forst as part of this event. Together with the participants, we will report as many discoveries as possible in the iNaturalist app. In addition, an online meeting is planned for the following week, in which we will try to identify all undetermined discoveries together. To participate in the event, a mobile device for uploading observations is urgently required. We kindly ask you to download the iNaturalist app in advance.

Please note: This event is NOT a classic guided tour. The focus is on observing and reporting various animals, plants and fungi on the iNaturalist reporting platform.
