Press release,

Hendrik Folkenborn (30), firefighter from Mülheim an der Ruhr, travelled to Berlin with his wife and friends especially to see TRISTAN OTTO. He had read in the newspapers about the arrival of Tyrannosaurus rex, and now he himself became the centre of media attention. Being the 500,000th visitor to TRISTAN OTTO, he was welcomed by the Mayor of Berlin, Michael Müller, Director General, Prof. Johannes Vogel, and the Managing Director of the Museum für Naturkunde, Stephan Junker. He received not only the book about TRISTAN OTTO, but also a season ticket for the Museum as gifts.

The skeleton, which has been on display at the Museum für Naturkunde – Leibniz Institute for Evolution and Biodiversity Science since December 17th 2015, has become quite a unique attraction in Europe. Among international experts, it is considered to be a very special find, and research on the dinosaur celebrity has been ongoing in Berlin since July 2015, using cutting-edge technology. The research results are being fed into the exhibition as they emerge.
