Sielmann!

“I feel fortunate to be able to look back on a long life in nature. Particularly the insights gained over the last years made it clear to me how important it is to control our boundless greed and protect our environment. Only then can future generations look forward to a life worth living. We must protect our natural assets, our capital!” Over his lifetime, the enthusiastic behavioural researcher and successful nature broadcaster became a passionate and committed conservationist.

On June 2nd, the legendary nature broadcaster Heinz Sielmann would have turned 100. The Museum and the Heinz Sielmann Foundation celebrate the occasion with a new special exhibition focusing on our native wildlife – including lynx and wisent, squirrel and beaver.

After a sucessful start in Berlin with more than 500,000 visitors, the exhibition will tour throughout Germany in the coming years.
