Press release,

The Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is offering free admission to all visitors affected by the current power outage in Berlin from today, Tuesday, January 6, through Thursday, January 8, 2026.

As a place of encounter, knowledge, and social cohesion, the Museum aims to support those affected by providing a warm place to spend time and, ideally, a positive experience during a challenging period. An additional free offer is the Open Museum Workshop on Wednesday and Thursday (7 and 8 January) from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Microscopy Centre.

Free admission will be handled simply and on the basis of trust on site: all visitors who state at the ticket desk that they are affected by the power outage will receive a free ticket. The offer explicitly applies to school classes and groups as well.
