"Everyone is doing the research" is the motto of the first Berlin Citizen Science Day on 24 October 2019 at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. Where does the hedgehog appear in Berlin? How do we actually taste food? How can we document history in Berlin and at the same time bring it to life? Berlinert the Nightingale? These are just a few of the questions that citizens in and around Berlin can participate in researching. The newly founded Citizen Science Berliner Raum working group and the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin invite interested Berliners to become aware of the diversity of citizen research:
on Thursday, 24 October,
from 3:00 to 9:00 pm,
in the museum's experimental field.
Numerous research institutions, NGOs, associations, authorities and foundations have joined forces in the working group. Under the umbrella of "Citizens create knowledge", the central platform for Citizen Science in Germany, they jointly organize and shape the future of citizen research in the Berlin area.
