Press release,

From Thursday, 20.05.2021 the exhibition will be open again. The health of visitors is very important to us. Therefore: first go to the test station next to the main entrance, then with a negative test result to Dino & Co.

Visiting the exhibition is only possible with a valid online ticket and in connection with the registration of your contact details. Online tickets can initially be booked 3 days in advance. In addition, a maximum 24-hour certified negative test result must be available. Testing isdone in cooperation with Malteser Hilfsdienst without prior appointment and during the museum's opening hours (Tues-Fri 09:30 am - 06:00 pm, Sat/Sun/holidays 10:00 am-06:00 pm). The pass4all app is used. The process is very simple: download the app, register once, scan the QR code, check in. If you don't have a smartphone, a solution will be offered at the test station.

The dinosaur hall, wet collection, biodiversity wall, the special exhibition "Parasites - Life Undercover" and other highlights can then be experienced in a tour. As part of the Future Plan, the museum is testing communication offers and technologies: The Digital Guide for one's smartphone is free of charge, hygiene-compliant and available in 11 languages. In addition, there is a bilingual audio guide for children as well as a highlight tour for the deaf with videos in German sign language.

To protect our staff and visitors, the protection and hygiene concept applies. The exhibition may only be visited by a maximum of five people from two households, not counting children under the age of 14. It is compulsory to wear an FFP2 mask, which must be brought along by the visitor. The distance rule of 2 metres between visitors applies. The number of visitors is limited. In order to implement this concept, tickets will be sold exclusively online in two timeslots. Due to the applicable distance rules and contact restrictions, it is currently not possible to visit the museum in groups. All current information for your visit to the museum can be found on our homepage.

Important note for journalists, film teams and photographers: Access to the exhibition is only possible after consultation and timely registration at the press office and is regulated in order to comply with security regulations. Spontaneous visits are not possible.
