Project period: since February 2023
How do we experience natural knowledge in our environment? How can we listen to people who are interested in nature knowledge? What are they looking for?
The starting point is speculative objects that have been created through the fusion of design, art and technology in the network and that report on knowledge of nature. By engaging with speculative materials such as soundscapes, objects or fictional species, we invite you to develop, tell and visualize stories together, also to find out what needs are formative in the face of the big questions of our time.
We started in February 2024 with an intervention in the exhibition at the Museum für Naturkunde. At a station in front of the large biodiversity wall, we presented various objects and soundscapes and invited visitors to interact with them and report on their experiences of nature. This experiment will be continued in the summer during the Long Night of Museums. We are already looking forward to your participation.
The "User Lab" sub-project was created through the collaboration of networkers Julia Diekämper (Museum für Naturkunde), Lynn Harles (formerly Museum für Naturkunde), Marcus Gammel (Deutschlandfunk Kultur) and Christiane Habermalz (Deutschlandfunk).
