Berlin is a very green city with lots of nature. In some cases we still know too little about the local nature, especially how it is changing. Research into nature in Berlin and better access to urban nature and environmental education projects are the focus of our new interdisciplinary project.

The research group studies the development of animals that have more than two eyes, such as spiders and snails. The focus is on various aspects of the visual systems of invertebrates, including their structure, function, ecology and evolution.
