Press release,

On Thursday, 23 October 2025, Berliner Sparkasse cordially invites explorers of all ages to a children's festival at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin. From 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., visitors can expect a varied programme full of knowledge, fun and adventure – with free admission.

"Free access to knowledge is important for our democracy, our society and nature. Amazement, hands-on experience and asking questions are the beginning of every spirit of discovery," emphasises Director General Johannes Vogel. "We are happy to have Berliner Sparkasse as a cooperation partner with whom we can make such days possible together."

On this day, the museum will be transformed into a lively place of discovery for children and families. In addition to exciting exhibitions and hands-on activities, visitors can embark on a journey of discovery with numerous programme items:

11:00 a.m.: herrH – the interactive concert for children

3:00 p.m.: Julian Janssen, known as Checker Julian, live on stage

There will also be a museum rally through the exhibition, face painting, a photo booth, a guessing game, a podcast corner and various themed tables.

Refreshments will also be available: the forecourt will offer grilled delicacies, waffles, cakes, coffee and cold drinks.

Background information:

The children's festival is made possible by the main sponsor, Berliner Sparkasse. Under the motto Wissen schafft Durchblick, the museum and the bank are working together to make scientific and economic topics accessible and understandable for everyone. Part of the cooperation is also the children's podcast Süßes oder Saurier – der Wissenspodcast für Kinder, which conveys knowledge in an entertaining way.
